LOOKING FOR FARMER MENTEES!

NEW FARMER INCUBATION:  Do you have farming experience but no capital to own your own land?  Inquire about Elsewhere Farm's "Hatching New Farmers" program!  Mentor with an experienced small farmer and run your own small business! You get tilled and fertilized land, basic housing, equipment to share, and lots of business advice in trade for two days a week working at Elsewhere Farm.

Farmer Clare has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Writing, a Master’s of Science in Sustainable Systems/Agroecology, and a PhD in Sustainability Education with a focus on Regenerative Agriculture.  Clare received her certificate in Advanced Permaculture Design in 2008 and has also studied with Sepp Holzer.  Clare founded Growing Connections, a liberal arts program in sustainable agriculture at Northland College, and has been teaching sustainable agriculture and Permaculture for over a decade.  She is on the citizen’s advisory council for the Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems at the University of Wisconsin, and on the board of MOSES (the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service).  She also edits the online Journal of Sustainability Education.
