SIGN UP FOR OUR WEEKLY SUMMER CSA!

As a member of a Community Supported Agriculture program you boost the heath of the community while nourishing yourself.  You are directly connected to your food source, and help provide a fair wage for a local farmer.  You share the risks and joys of the farming season with the farm.

We are a woman-owned business committed to:
  • The freshest possible produce you can buy.
  • Growing nutrient dense foods in healthy soils.
  • Growing on a human-scaled, carbon-conscious farm (minimal use of large, fossil-fuel-driven equipment).
  • Growing less common fruits high in antioxidants and minerals.
  • Growing open-pollinated crops and preserving our seed heritage.
  • Raising rare breed livestock.
  • Fruits and vegetables grown without synthetic herbicides, insecticides, fungicides or fertilizers.
  • Biodiversity, including pollinators.
  • Supporting the next generation of farmers through our internship programs.
  • Supporting local sustainable economic development (the majority of our business purchases are local).

Eat Well
Each week you’ll enjoy six to ten different crops picked at the height of flavor and freshness:
  • Greens: You’ll get a bag of salad mix, a head of lettuce, or a bouquet of braising greens every week
  • Fruit: fruit preserves, strawberries, raspberries, saskatoons, currants, elderberries, cider, and other organically-grown fruits in season.
  • Veggies: beans, beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, kohlrabi, leeks, onions, peas, peppers, potatoes, radishes, summer squash, winter squash, tomatoes, and turnips, oh my!  As weather permits.
  • Other Treats: You can also relish cheese from Happy Hollow Creamery, fresh herbs, sprouts, eggs, and occasional pickled products.

How will I get my weekly produce?
We’ll arrange a convenient pick-up site near you in Ashland, Bayfield, Duluth (five neighborhoods), Herbster, Iron River, Port Wing, Superior, and Washburn.  Every Wednesday your box of fresh produce will be there by 3 p.m. (4:30 in Superior/Duluth) for pick-up.  We’ll provide all the details to you in a pre-season email, after we have finalized our membership.

How It Works
The CSA will run from the second week in June, 2018 through the third week of October, 2018.  TWENTY weeks of fresh local produce!

We’ll email a short newsletter every week that gives some recipe suggestions, general farm and food news, and CSA logistical announcements, so please provide your email when you sign up.

The price for a summer CSA share is $615.00.  (That’s $30 per week.)

Make the check payable to Clare Hintz and mail to the address at the top of the screen or you can use the PayPal option below (there is an added fee for processing with this option.)
